Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my activation email?

Unfortunately because spam is an increasing problem, many large email providers such as Hotmail and AOL classify activation emails as spam. We have made endeavours to ensure that your email is delivered to your inbox, but on some occasions you may need to check your junk-email folder or to add "Children's Moneyworld" as a safe sender. When registering, please allow up to 5 minutes to receive your email.

Where can I find content?

Children's Moneyworld consists of over 300+ learning activities which can be used online. They are designed to be used individually or as part of whole-class teaching. Each item is categorised and coded to make finding (and storing) content easier. You can browse the categories of content, or search for a specific code or keyword. Our content is accompanied by in-depth teaching notes and instruction.

We provide a sample of our material for use by anyone, at no cost.

Can I use an interactive whiteboard?

Our content is designed to work with all interactive technologies and has been tested on Promethean and Smartboard devices. This includes touchscreen computers, kiosks and interactive whiteboards. When viewing content on the site, beneath the thumbnail picture of each item you will see an option to "Launch Fullscreen". This is the perfect way of making your content occupy the entire screen, and is ideal for displaying content via a projector onto a whiteboard.

I used to use the old site, where is the old content?

We have updated most of the old content and given it a new coding. For example, if you previously worked with worksheets (the old printable sheets) they were all prefixed with the letter 'm'. For example, 'm10c' would have been "Counting with pennies to 9p".
U.K visitors can now find 'm10c' by using 'uk10c'
U.S visitors can find the same content by using 'us10c'.

Can I record my scores?

Each item of content on the site is designed to keep a real-time record of each attempt, and score within the content. This applies to individual users, and is an ideal way of assessing group and individual learning achievement and activity throughout the site. On each content summary screen you will see a button called "My Scores" which will display a graph, and summary of all your attempts and scores for the activity.

What do I need to use this site?

Can I download the activites for offline use?

Children's Moneyworld have made a significant investment in their educational and technical content since 1999. The work on this site is copyrighted, and as such, may only be used online. We make extensive use of caching technology to ensure that our content is delivered quickly, and with low internet traffic. We do not allow users to make copies of the content. We do allow users to print their work, or to use as handouts.

How can I print my work?

Each activity has a toolbar that can be accessed by moving your mouse to the top of the screen. Simply click the "Print" icon to have a full version ready to print. Remember to set your printer into A4 Landscape mode (not portrait!) In order to save color ink, colourful backgrounds are removed when printing. We also remove items that you don't need to have printed!
